ClinicsWorkshops and Riding Adventures are not only about the horses, but are about treating all life with respect and dignity. The lessons learned from horses in these seminars are lifelong and often life changing. The following overview outlines the basic requirements to organize a successful clinic. To book a clinic, we require a minimum of six riders with deposits.
Choosing a Date:
For the maximum exposure and participation, plan 4-6 months or more lead time. This insures adequate promotion and advertising time.
*Research other major community activities and equine events so as
not to conflict with scheduling
Facility Recommendations:
*Indoor or covered arena to eliminate the risk of cancellation due to weather. Outdoor arena can be a consideration based on the time of year. Ideal is outdoor arena with an indoor back-up.
*Large enough to accommodate horses and riders.
(Example: 60'x100' arena should accommodate 12 horses.)
*Seating area for auditors, such as existing bleachers or areas on the sides of arena to accommodate chairs safely.
*Overnight Boarding for horses
*Overnight camping or cabins for riders. Availability of motels close by.
*Restrooms or rental portals available.
*Adequate parking for trailers and auditors.
*Adequate electrical or sound system.
*Good Lighting.
*2-4 volunteers to assist with distribution of marketing materials and parking.
*Provide lunch (have caterer provide) and drinks.

*Supply lodging for trainer and horses (if needed)
